BE — the trailer licence
For larger trailers by car: manoeuvring, coupling and safe driving. Price and duration depend on your individual situation — we will be happy to advise you.
What the law requires
- No theory training and no theory test (the class B theory is enough)
- Practice: 5 compulsory lessons with a trailer — 3 on rural roads, 1 on the motorway, 1 at dusk/in the dark
- Practical test; further practice lessons as needed
As of 2026, according to the German driving-student training regulation (FahrschAusbO), without guarantee.
What does it cost?
Registration €349, learning app €50, every driving lesson €65 (each incl. VAT). The exam presentation (€250) and the first aid course (€50) are added separately. TÜV fees are always paid externally, directly to the TÜV. The scope and duration of BE training are individual — we will advise you in person. You get the full overview in the cost calculator.
